- ANSI/IICRC S540, 2nd Edition (2023)
- This is the consensus standard for trauma and crime scene cleanup. It covers scene assessment, worker protection, decontamination sequence, structural and vehicle remediation, waste handling, and how you confirm a scene is clean. The second edition replaced the 2017 first edition.
- OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030
- This is the federal bloodborne pathogens standard. It governs exposure control plans, PPE, hepatitis B vaccination for technicians, engineering controls, and post exposure procedures. It applies to our crew on every job.
- IICRC Trauma and Crime Scene Technician (TCST)
- This is an individual certification, not a company level credential. It is held by the technicians who will be in your home.
Our Four Gate Verification Sequence

Every gate is photographed and dated. You get the file and so does your insurance adjuster.
Waste Chain of Custody
Contaminated material leaves your property sealed in regulated medical waste containers, transported by a licensed medical waste hauler, and destroyed at an approved treatment facility. You get the manifest. Keep it for your records. If the property is ever sold, that manifest answers any questions about what happened.
When We Cannot Start Yet
If law enforcement has not released the scene, we cannot start and neither can anyone else. We will come out, walk the exterior, and give you a scope and start time so you are not waiting in a parking lot for a phone call. The same applies if the death was unattended and the coroner is still involved.
